Training begins on Wednesday – please bring completed membership forms

Training sessions for the 2011-12 season begin this coming Wednesday evening at 8pm. It would be very much appreciated if you could bring along completed membership forms – please see the email from Diego, below:

The club requires your financial support. You might be aware that hiring the sport hall used for training and matches and paying for volleyball equipments is essential to run the club. Although everyone involved in the club committee works on voluntary basis to organise everything and although the club tries to constantly apply for funding from governing bodies, individuals and organisations, maintaining the club requires also a financial commitment from its members.

You can download the Membership and Standing Order forms below:

Yet Another Update: Training Starts on Wednesday 14 September 2011

OK, apologies everyone, but it has been confirmed that this season’s training will in fact commence on 14th September, NOT the 21st September as advised yesterday. Tracey apologises for the confusion and has volunteered to buy everyone a drink after training in compensation.

Provided that she gets the right week, of course.

HVA Level 4 Refereeing Course, September 2011

Herts Volleyball Association are running a Grade 4 refereeing course over the weekend of 3-4 September 2011 in preparation for the coming season.
Each club is obliged to provide qualified referees for division 1 matches, and the more qualified referees we have, the better…although Tracey is keen to referee as many matches as she can next year, it’s not fair if she has all the fun.
If you’re interested in qualifying as a referee, please contact Fiona Wilson at fiona@whvc.org.uk before 15 August.
The course will be held at Rudolph Steiner School in Kings Langley, Herfordshire, WD4 9HG. The cost will be £35.00 per candidate.
