Tottenham Hotspur Foundation Premier League 4 Sport Junior Volleyball Sessions have re-started at QE Girls School on Tuesday afternoons between 4.30 and 6pm. These sessions are for children in school years 7-13 and cost £10 for the year (approx. 24 weeks).

The sessions are coached by Sean (VK Club Coach). If you hear of any one enquiring about junior sessions, please mention this session to them and ask them to e:mail Sean at [s.poole@volleyballengland.org] for further details.

Third indoor training session tonight (less fitness, I promise !) and still a no-show from a good many of last season’s players ! The club are looking at who is around to play this season and starting to select team squads so if you are intending to play, let’s see you at training (or let someone know if you’re unavailable this season).

Please also keep Sunday 30th September free for the club (internal) indoor tournament (Details to follow).

The last outdoor session of the summer was held last night. From next Wednesday we’ll be back inside until next year.

Indoor sessions take place at Queen Elizabeth Leisure Centre in Barnet (details here) at 8pm on Wednesday evenings. For the first few weeks, all existing and new members are welcome to come along, from the end of September the sessions will be split between Wednesday evenings and weekends (days to be confirmed).

‎(Possibly) the last outdoor wednesday session of the season at Totteridge tonight – let’s make it a good one. I’ll set up earlier than usual (6 o’clock) as it’s getting dark early now. Hopefully you’ve all heard about the VK Outdoor Tournament and BBQ this Sunday afternoon (2nd Sept.) at Totteridge Tennis Club, a great way to end the summer season. Cost will be around £7 per person including food so if you haven’t already, please let Angelo know if you’re coming. Look forward to seeing y’all this evening or on Sunday.

Congratulations to Junior club members Ryan and Josh who, over the weekend, finished 3rd in the National Under 15s Beach Championships in Bournemouth on Saturday and then won the Under 17s Division 2 Title on the Sunday, beating several England Cadet Squad players along the way. Given that Ryan is still “Under 13” and Josh “Under 15” and both have only been playing Beach for a matter of weeks this is quite some achievement !
